Rector= s Report: There was an exceptionally concentrated week of pastoral care wi= th many home and hospital visitations. Holy week services are in place wit= h wonderful liturgy and moving music to be shared in our faith journey as w= e approach the Easter Sunday service to celebrate the risen Christ. The Di= ocese has strongly recommended interaction with other churches in the Dioce= se. Roy will be meeting with Christ Church in Malden to discuss strategic = planning on a monthly basis. With Roy Tripp several commissions have met to= discuss ways in which we can thrive in shared ministries. There should be= a line item in the treasurer's report to accommodate the Sabbatical in 201= 1. Roy will be attending the Clergy conference in mid-April and taking a c= ontinuing education course in Minneapolis in May 2008. During the four weeks of Easter Matt Mello will be playing the prelude and = postlude during the 8am service.=20 =20 Buildings and Grounds: David Hallowell requested that the fans be operatio= nal during the Sunday services. A new motion detection light has been inst= alled to better illuminate the parking lot at night. =20 Christian Education: Per Charlie Critch's request, Heidi Marcotte sent Tom= and Stephan Godfrey a small stipend and note of thanks from the Vestry for= all their hard work during the winter season. A reminder to all Vestry to= write letters of encouragement to members of the Missions team by April 13= th. =20 Stewardship: Beth Lyons initiated a discussion on the leadership role of V= estry participation for the 2009 pledge drive. =20 Administration: Ken Beeby presented information on staff annual salary com= pensation. Roy Tripp was not present for this discussion. Ken advocated a p= lan of a one percent higher cost of living salary raise. Due to budgetary = restraints a motion was carried to approve a standard 3% raise for staff me= mbers. The vote was 9-3 in favor of the 3% pay raise.
